Herrstein location
- Günter Effgen leaves the family business “Julius Effgen & Söhne” and takes over the Herrstein location with 50 employees in his own name.

- Following the successful market launch of cBN grinding wheels (from 1969), the grinding tools department with 30 employees is relocated to a new production hall in nearby Herrstein.
